Mobile apps

Register a phone as a notification endpoint and verify critical delivery.

Start on the web

Create your account or accept an organization invitation on the web. The mobile apps receive and manage notifications.

Install Acked

Sign in

  1. Enter the email address for your Acked account.
  2. Continue with the social provider linked to that address.

Select Use a recovery code when the social provider is unavailable and you have a saved code. Create recovery codes from Account → Security and recovery on the web.

Allow notifications

The app requests notification permission after sign-in. Alerts remain visible in the app when permission is off, but the device cannot page you.

iPhone

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Acked → Notifications.
  2. Enable Allow Notifications and Sounds.
  3. Enable Critical Alerts.

Android

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Acked → Notifications.
  2. Enable Acked notifications and sound for its alert channels.
  3. Allow Acked to bypass Do Not Disturb or Modes.

Verify device readiness

  1. Open Account → My devices on the web.
  2. Confirm that the phone shows push enabled.
  3. Trigger a high-urgency test alert.
  4. Confirm sound and display while the phone is locked.
  5. Acknowledge the alert from the notification.

Success: The alert timeline records a sent push attempt and your acknowledgement.

Understand critical delivery

High urgency requests delivery through silent modes. The operating system still controls the final display and sound.

Test again after you change Focus, Do Not Disturb, Modes, battery restrictions, notification channels, or critical-alert permission.

Prepare for voice paging

Voice paging requires an eligible plan, organization enablement, and a verified personal or work number.

  1. Ask an admin to enable Organization → Voice paging.
  2. Open Account → Phone numbers.
  3. Add a number with its country code.
  4. Enter the verification code sent by text.

Calls come from +1-571-240-1029. Save the Acked contact to reduce call screening.

Fix a missing page

Open the alert timeline before you change device settings. A sent result confirms provider acceptance. It does not prove that the operating system displayed the notification.

Open the app after a reinstall or device restore to register the current push token. Then follow the delivery troubleshooting guide.
